A maker of medical devices used in hospitals and clinics worldwide, Mindray produces patient monitors, ultrasound imaging systems, defibrillators, and lab diagnostic equipment. Founded in 1991 in Shenzhen, China, by three former employees of a pioneering Chinese medical device company, it grew into one of the world's largest device makers. Its name blends "mind" and "ray" to mean "light of wisdom."
