Bolt Technology Corporation

A maker of marine seismic airguns used to map the ocean floor during offshore oil and gas exploration, Bolt Technology also built underwater cables, electronic controllers, and miniature remote-operated vehicles under its SeaBotix brand. Founded in 1965, its airguns offered a safer, more controlled alternative to the explosives once used in seismic surveying, and the gear became a standard in the field. In 2014 the technology was folded into Teledyne Marine.
