Kuaishou Technology
A maker of short-video and live-streaming apps, Kuaishou lets people create and watch clips, chat with broadcasters, and shop through its platform, with an international version sold as Kwai. It began in 2011 as "GIF Kuaishou," a tool for making animated GIFs, before founder Su Hua (a former Google engineer) pivoted it into a social video network. Its name means "quick hand," chosen for how fast users could create and share content.
