Nokia Corp

A Finnish company that builds the network equipment — 5G gear, optical fiber, and internet routing hardware — that telecom operators use to run their mobile and broadband services. It began in 1865 as a groundwood pulp mill founded by mining engineer Fredrik Idestam, and took its name from the Nokianvirta River where its second paper mill stood. Along the way it also made rubber boots and tires before becoming the phone maker many people remember.
