Bb Seguridade Participações S.a.
A Brazilian holding company that acts as the insurance, pension, and brokerage arm of Banco do Brasil, the country's largest state-owned bank. Rather than selling policies itself, it owns stakes in subsidiaries and partnerships that underwrite life, rural, and auto coverage, which are distributed through the bank's vast branch and digital network. Created in 2012 to gather these businesses under one roof, it went public in 2013 in what was then the world's largest initial public offering of that year, formed partly through a joint venture with Spain's MAPFRE.
