Camtek Ltd

A maker of high-end inspection and metrology systems that chip manufacturers use to spot tiny defects on wafers during semiconductor production. Founded in 1987 in Migdal HaEmek, Israel, Camtek got its start building optical inspection machines for printed circuit boards before pivoting to the far more demanding world of chip wafer inspection. Its name blends "Cam" (for computer-aided manufacturing) with "Tek" (short for technology), and the company still sells in dozens of countries around the world.
