Interest rate risk
We are exposed to market risks in the ordinary course of our business. These risks primarily relate to interest rates. Our cash, cash equivalents, available-for-sale marketable securities and restricted cash consists of bank deposits and money market funds, which totaled $133.5 million and $172.3 million as of June 30, 2026 and December 31, 2025, respectively. Such interest-bearing instruments carry a degree of risk. However, because our investments are primarily high-quality credit instruments with short-term durations with high-quality institutions, we have not been exposed to, nor do we anticipate being exposed to, material risks due to changes in interest rates. A 100-basis point change in interest rates would not have a material effect on the fair market value of our cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash.
We are also exposed to interest rate risk on our variable rate debt associated with the Blackstone term loan facility. Changes in interest rates can impact future interest payments we are obligated to pay. A 100-basis point change in interest rates would not have a material effect on the total future interest payments.
See Note 8, “Long-Term Debt” for further information.
