A maker of self-driving technology, WeRide builds the software and vehicles behind robotaxis, autonomous minibuses, delivery vans, and street-sweeping robots used in cities around the world. Founded in 2017 as JingChi Inc. by a former Baidu chief scientist, the company rebranded to WeRide — the "We" signaling its people-first mission — and in 2020 became the first company in China licensed to test fully driverless cars on public roads.
