5n Plus Inc.

A maker of ultra-pure metals and compounds used in solar panels, space satellites, and electronics. The Montreal-based company's name comes from its products' purity: "5N" means "five nines," or 99.999% pure, and "Plus" signals it goes even higher. Founded in 2000 by employees who bought out assets from a major Canadian mining firm, it later acquired AZUR SPACE, whose solar cells powered Germany's first satellite, launched in 1969.
