A precision-medicine biopharmaceutical company, now part of Sanofi, that designs targeted therapies for rare blood and cancer diseases. Its flagship drug AYVAKIT (avapritinib) treats systemic mastocytosis, a rare immune-cell disorder, and certain gastrointestinal tumors. Founded in 2011 by scientists including cancer researcher Brian Druker, the company began life as "ImmunoCo, Inc." before being renamed Hoyle Pharmaceuticals and finally Blueprint Medicines — a fittingly winding path for a firm built on mapping disease-causing genetic blueprints.
