Markforged Holding Corp
A maker of industrial 3D printers, Markforged builds machines that print strong parts from carbon fiber, nylon, and even metal, used by aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing companies for tools and end-use parts. It was founded in 2013 by Greg Mark, who had made carbon-fiber wings for race cars and wanted a faster way to produce high-strength parts. The name blends the founder's surname with "forging," and its first printer, the Mark One, was the world's first to print with continuous carbon fiber.
