Phenomex Inc

A biotech company that made lab instruments for studying individual living cells, PhenomeX's Beacon optofluidic platform and IsoLight/IsoSpark systems let scientists watch and sort tens of thousands of single cells at once, work used in drug discovery. It was born in 2023 when Berkeley Lights (founded 2011) merged with IsoPlexis, and its name blends "phenome" (a cell's full set of observable traits) with an "X" for advanced technology. Bruker Corporation bought the company that same year and folded its platforms into its own catalog.
