A payment-technology company that helps small merchants across China take card and QR-code payments, then bundles those tools with software, data analytics and marketing services. Founded in 2011 by Luke Liu, a former general manager of Tencent's TenPay wallet, it grew out of the man-in-the-middle space between big tech payments and everyday shops, and Tencent became an early shareholder a year later. It listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2020 as one of China's largest independent QR-code payment providers.
