An Israeli technology holding company in the semiconductor world, Priortech owns and nurtures businesses like Camtek, whose automated optical-inspection machines check wafers during chip manufacturing, and ACCESS, which builds advanced packaging substrates for electronics. It began life in 1980 as PCB Technologies, a maker of multilayer circuit boards founded by Rafi Amit and six colleagues, before rebranding as Priortech in 2001 as it shifted toward semiconductors.
