An Israeli aerospace maker of jet engine parts and small gas turbines, supplying high-precision components like compressor and turbine disks, blades, and nozzles to global aircraft-engine builders. It was founded in 1968 as a joint venture between the State of Israel and France's Turbomeca, born out of a French arms embargo that pushed Israel to build engines at home. Its name comes from the nearby city of Bet Shemesh, Hebrew for "House of the Sun."
