Concord Acquisition Corp
A special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC — a "blank-check" firm formed to raise money and merge with an existing business. Concord was sponsored by Atlas Merchant Capital, the investment firm co-founded by former Barclays chief Bob Diamond, and focused on financial services and fintech. It is best remembered for its attempt to take the stablecoin issuer Circle public, a deal that was called off in 2022. The name likely honors Diamond's hometown of Concord, Massachusetts.
Class A Common Stock — Delisted; redeemed public shares and dissolved in December 2022 after mutual termination of Circle merger.
