Galmed Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

A clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Israel that develops oral treatments for liver and metabolic diseases, including its lead drug candidate Aramchol for fatty-liver conditions. It was founded in 2000 by Professor Tuvia Gilat and Allen Baharaff, and its name blends "Gal" from founder Gilat with "Med" for medical research.
