A maker of ballistic protection materials, FMS Enterprises Migun Ltd. produces the Uni-Directional polyethylene and aramid fabrics used in body armor and in vehicle, ship, and aircraft armoring. Founded in 1986 and based in Petah Tikva, Israel, it was the first company in the world to make commercial UD-PE and UD-Aramid fabrics. Its name comes from the Hebrew word "Migun," meaning shielding or armoring.
