Line Corp
A maker of the LINE messaging app, one of Japan's most popular daily communication tools, used by millions for texting, calls, stickers, payments, and entertainment like LINE Manga. The app was born in 2011 in the Japanese office of Naver, a South Korean internet giant, after the Great East Japan Earthquake left phone networks overloaded and people struggling to reach loved ones. Its name comes from the "lines" of communication the app was built to restore, and it is now famous for its expressive sticker characters like the bear and rabbit pair.
