Rydex ETF Trust
A family of investment funds that runs specialized mutual funds and ETFs, including leveraged and inverse products that aim to multiply or reverse the daily moves of a stock index. Its best-known creation is the S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP), launched in 2003 as the first fund to give every company in the index equal footing instead of favoring the biggest names. Founded in 1993 as PADCO Advisors, the firm took the Rydex name and was later folded into Guggenheim Investments after a 2010 acquisition.
Rydex Inverse 2x S&P 500 ETF seeks to provide investment results that match, before fees and expenses, 200% of the inverse of the daily performance of the S&P 500 Index. — Defunct since March 15, 2013. Delisted.
