A clinical-stage biotechnology company that developed oral medicines designed to calm the body's immune system by acting on cells in the small intestine—a platform it called the "small intestinal axis." Founded by the venture firm Flagship Pioneering, it merged with a sister company, Epiva Biosciences, in 2016, and aimed its experimental treatments at inflammatory conditions like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. The company dissolved its operations in 2023.
