K2m Group Holdings, Inc.
A maker of medical devices for treating the spine, K2M built spinal implants, minimally invasive surgical tools, and biologics used by surgeons to fix everything from complex deformities to common back pain. Founded in 2004 by engineer Eric Major and spine surgeon Dr. John Kostuik in Leesburg, Virginia, the company took its name from K2, the world's second-highest mountain — and even named its implants after famous peaks. Stryker acquired it in 2018.
