Boulder Brands, Inc.

A food company behind well-known health-focused brands including Smart Balance spreads, Earth Balance plant-based butters, Udi's gluten-free breads, Glutino snacks, and EVOL frozen meals. It began in 2005 as Boulder Specialty Brands, founded by Steve Hughes and Jim Lewis, then acquired the maker of Smart Balance and Earth Balance in 2007 and later renamed itself after moving its headquarters to Boulder, Colorado. Earth Balance's name comes from the company's motto that it loves the earth so much it named its entire product line after it.
