A maker of military drones based in Yavne, Israel, Aeronautics Ltd. designs and builds unmanned aerial systems like the compact Orbiter series and the larger Aerostar, which armies, police forces, and security agencies around the world use for surveillance and reconnaissance. It began in 1997 as a small startup called NETS Integrated Avionics Systems before taking its current name. One quirk: its flagship Orbiter drones get their name because they spend their missions circling—orbiting—a target to keep a constant watch from above.
