Henkel AG & Co Kgaa

A German maker of household and industrial products, Henkel is best known for brands like Persil laundry detergent, Schwarzkopf hair care, and Loctite adhesives used by everyone from home cooks to factories. It began in 1876 when founder Fritz Henkel opened a shop in Aachen selling a bleaching soda, and struck gold in 1907 with Persil — the world's first self-acting laundry detergent. Fun quirk: the name "Persil" was coined from its two key ingredients, perborate and silicate.
