Fanuc Corp

One of the world's largest makers of industrial automation, FANUC builds the bright-yellow robotic arms and computer numerical control (CNC) systems that run factories for automakers, electronics plants, and food makers. It began in 1955 when engineer Seiuemon Inaba led a Fujitsu team to create Japan's first private-sector numerical control system, spinning off as its own company in 1972. Its name is an acronym for "Fuji Automatic Numerical Control," and its robots' signature yellow makes them instantly recognizable on factory floors.
