A British engineering firm that makes precision measurement tools, including the touch-trigger probes used in machine tools and coordinate measuring machines, plus laser encoders, dental scanners and metal 3D printers used by manufacturers, aerospace and healthcare. It was founded in 1973 by David McMurtry and John Deer after McMurtry invented a touch probe while working at Rolls-Royce, and it is headquartered in the Gloucestershire town of Wotton-under-Edge.
