Dowlais Group Plc

A British engineering group that makes driveline systems — sideshafts, propshafts, all-wheel-drive systems and eDrive powertrains — for cars, including electric and hybrid models, plus sintered metal parts and metal powders. It was born in 2023 when Melrose Industries spun off its automotive businesses into a standalone company. The name honors the Dowlais Ironworks in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, one of the world's largest ironworks in the 1800s, whose Guest family helped found the firm that became GKN.
