Naugatuck Valley Financial Corp
A community bank that served families and small businesses in Connecticut's Naugatuck River Valley, offering savings accounts, home mortgages, and local lending. It was founded in 1922 by local business leaders as the Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan Association, and its holding company was created in 2004 before the bank was acquired by Liberty Bank in 2016. The name "Naugatuck" comes from an Algonquian word meaning "lone tree by the fishing place."
