Pjsc Lukoil
One of the world's largest oil producers, LUKOIL finds, refines, and sells crude oil and natural gas, plus gasoline, diesel, lubricants, and petrochemicals, through its own filling stations in Russia and abroad. It was born in 1991 when Soviet officials merged three Western Siberian oil producers along with several refineries. The name combines "LUK"—the initials of the Siberian towns Langepas, Uray, and Kogalym—with the English word "oil."
