Parkway Properties, Inc.

A real estate investment trust that owned, managed, and leased office buildings across the Sunbelt and Southeastern United States, Parkway Properties traced its roots to 1971. Its name evokes a landscaped thoroughfare, a common nod in real estate to well-planned, scenic spaces. In 2016 the company merged with Cousins Properties, spinning off its Houston towers into a separate firm that also carried the Parkway name.

Common Stock — Acquired by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board for .2B in October 2017; delisted.
