A broadband internet provider based near Denver, Colorado, WideOpenWest—better known as WOW!—delivers high-speed internet (and formerly cable TV and phone) to homes and businesses across dozens of communities in the Midwest and Southeast. Founded in 1996, the company chose "WideOpenWest" to reflect its Western roots, then adopted the snappier "WOW!" as its brand in 2003. Today it's expanding its own fiber-to-the-home network, offering plans without long-term contracts.
