Alta Mesa Resources, Inc.

An independent oil and gas exploration and production company that drilled for unconventional reserves in Oklahoma's STACK formation, part of the Anadarko Basin. It was created in 2018 when a blank-check company led by former Anadarko CEO Jim Hackett merged with Alta Mesa Holdings and Kingfisher Midstream. The name "Alta Mesa" is Spanish for "high table," and it traces back to a firm founded in 1987.
