Deltic Timber Corporation
A timberland management and wood products company once headquartered in El Dorado, Arkansas, growing and harvesting southern pines to make lumber and plywood for builders and manufacturers. Its roots stretch to 1907, when oilman Charles H. Murphy Sr. began buying pine forests in Arkansas and Louisiana as part of Murphy Oil, operating them for decades as "Deltic Farm & Timber Co." The name blends "Delta" and "timber." Spun off as an independent company in 1996, it later merged with Potlatch in 2018 to form PotlatchDeltic.
