Triangle Petroleum Corporation

An independent oil and gas explorer and producer that drilled for shale oil and natural gas in the Bakken and Three Forks formations of North Dakota and Montana. Born in 2003 as Peloton Resources, it took the Triangle Petroleum name in 2005 and was based in Denver, Colorado. It also ran pressure pumping services for oilfields before a 2016 bankruptcy restructuring handed the reorganized company to its creditors.
