Forest City Enterprises, Inc.

A real estate developer that built and managed shopping malls, office towers, hotels, and apartment complexes across the US, with landmark projects like the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and the redevelopment of Cleveland's Terminal Tower. It began as a family lumber yard opened by Polish immigrant Charles Ratner in 1922, and the family consolidated their ventures into Forest City Enterprises in 1960. The name comes from "Forest City," the longtime nickname for its hometown of Cleveland, where a 19th-century mayor encouraged the planting of shade trees.

Class A Common Stock — Acquired by Brookfield Asset Management, delisted 2018-12-07. Renamed to Forest City Realty Trust in 2016. Former CUSIP 345550107 replaced by 345605109.
