Midway Gold Corp.

A gold and silver exploration and mining company that developed open-pit mines in Nevada, including its flagship Pan Mine in White Pine County. Founded in 1996 as Neary Resources, it later became Red Emerald Resource Corp. before taking the name Midway Gold in 2002, after the Nevada gold property it was pursuing. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2015, and its Pan Mine was later acquired by new owners.
