Siemens AG

A German technology giant that builds everything from factory automation systems and high-speed Velaro trains to medical imaging equipment, used by manufacturers, railways, and hospitals around the world. It began in 1847 as a small Berlin telegraph workshop founded by inventor Werner von Siemens and mechanic Johann Georg Halske. Its first product was a "pointer telegraph" that used a needle to point at letters instead of Morse code, making early long-distance messaging far easier to read.
