Trecora Resources
A specialty chemical maker that produces high-purity hydrocarbons and performance waxes used in everything from polyethylene and synthetic rubber to foam insulation and refrigeration. It began in 1967 as Arabian Shield Development, a mining firm focused on Saudi Arabia, before buying a Texas petrochemical plant in 1987 and renaming itself Trecora in 2014. The name blends "trust," "ecology," and "core of the earth" — a nod to the natural resources it refines.
