8point3 Energy Partners LP

A solar-power "yieldco" that owned and operated utility-scale solar projects, created in 2015 as a joint venture between solar manufacturers First Solar and SunPower. Its name comes from the roughly 8.3 minutes it takes sunlight to travel from the sun to Earth. In 2018 the company was bought by the investment firm Capital Dynamics and folded into its clean-energy business.
