Arctic Cat Inc.

A maker of snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and side-by-sides, Arctic Cat builds its machines in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Founder Edgar Hetteen co-created rival Polaris Industries, then left in 1960 to start this company, first calling it Polar Manufacturing before renaming it Arctic Enterprises in 1962 and branding its sleds "Arctic Cat." The company became part of Textron in 2017.
