Measurement Specialties Inc

A maker of sensors that measure pressure, temperature, position, force, vibration, and humidity, used in everything from cars and medical devices to aircraft and industrial machines. Founded in 1981 by two engineers, it began as a consulting firm before pivoting to manufacturing—its first hit product was a bathroom scale, followed by a digital tape measure called Accutape. The company was folded into TE Connectivity in 2014.
