Shanda Games Ltd
A Chinese developer and publisher of online games, known for titles like The Legend of Mir 2, MapleStory, and the Chinese version of Final Fantasy XIV. Founded in 1999 by Chen Tianqiao, his wife, and his brother, the name "Shanda" means "grand" or "prosperous." It helped pioneer the free-to-play model in China, letting players play for free while buying virtual items, and later rebranded as Shengqu Games.
