A medical device company that develops automated insulin delivery systems for people with diabetes. Its flagship product is the iLet bionic pancreas, a device that uses an algorithm to automatically manage blood sugar levels. The company was founded by biomedical engineer Ed Damiano, who was inspired to build the device after his son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
