A maker of identity and access management software that lets companies securely manage logins for employees, customers, and connected devices. Born in 2010 when founders who had built Sun Microsystems' open-source identity project spun the code out after Oracle bought Sun, it turned that foundation into a commercial platform used by large enterprises. The name plays on forging identity into something as solid as rock.
