A clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company building "off-the-shelf" cell therapies to fight viruses in patients with weakened immune systems. Its lead candidate, Viralymic, is a donor-derived T-cell therapy aimed at infections like the BK virus after organ transplants. The company grew out of Baylor College of Medicine in Texas, and its name blends "allo" (allogeneic, meaning from a donor) with "viro" (viruses), nodding to treatments made from donated cells rather than a patient's own.
