Taysha Gene Therapies, Inc.
A clinical-stage biotech developing gene therapies for rare nervous-system diseases. Founded in 2019 out of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, its lead program TSHA-102 is designed to treat the genetic root cause of Rett syndrome by delivering a single MECP2 gene directly into the spinal fluid. The company takes its name from the Caddo word "taysha," meaning "friend" or "ally" — the same word that gave Texas its name.
