A U.S. insurance holding company best known for its F&G Annuities & Life brand, selling fixed and indexed annuities and life insurance products to individuals and financial institutions. Its roots reach back to Fidelity Mutual Life, founded in Philadelphia in 1896, and it took its modern form when it was spun off from the global insurer Old Mutual in 2013. Fun fact: the "F&G" shorthand comes from its longtime name Fidelity & Guaranty Life, a nod to its two founding pillars of reliability.
