Amci Acquisition Corp.
A special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), AMCI Acquisition Corp. was created to raise money through an IPO and merge with a private business to take it public. Backed by AMCI Group—a metals-and-coal investment firm founded in 1986 by Hans Mende and Fritz Kundrun—its name comes from "American Metals & Coal International." Formed in 2018, it merged with fuel-cell maker Advent Technologies in 2021 to create Advent Technologies Holdings.
