A blank-check company formed in 2017 by an affiliate of the private-equity firm TPG, TPG Pace Holdings Corp. raised money to find a business to take public. In late 2019 it merged with Accel Entertainment, the operator of thousands of video gaming terminals in Illinois bars, restaurants, and truck stops, then renamed itself Accel and began trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The "Pace" name came from TPG's dedicated platform for these deals, meant to signal a patient, steady approach to building companies.
Warrant to purchase Class A common stock at 1.50 per share, originally issued as part of TPG Pace Holdings Corp IPO units (TPGH.WS), later became ACEL.WS after merger with Accel Entertainment; redeemed in July 2020 and delisted August 2020.
